Unlike some artists, I didn’t start out in life wanting to be an artist. I wanted to be a landscape architect when I graduated high school and it wasn’t until I turned 18 that I realized I was an artist.
How did it happen?
My life changed during my senior year in high school when I had to take art, or Spanish, I chose art instead. Once I picked up a paint brush for the first time and started moving paint around on canvas, the experience was epic! I knew that I had found my passion.
From creating new paintings, drawings, or mixed media work, I enjoy creating artwork on a daily basis. As I grow older, creating artwork is something that I have a burning desire to do, and I can’t let a day go by without making new art.
Everything inspires me, I enjoy creating still life art, landscapes, wildlife art, portraits and artwork that people of all generations love.
Now in my 40’s, I still look forward to creating artwork everyday and I also share my passion with my three daughters who are ages 11, 9, and 5. My wife Julie has also found her creative side and enjoys creating things out of recycled items.
We live in Central Texas about one hour away from Austin. I like where we live because it’s still “country” but close enough to the big city so I can easily drive to town for art supplies or a night out with my family.
My goal for this website is to connect with art collectors, buyers, writers and other creative people around the world who love art just as much as I do.
I appreciate your interest in my work and look forward to sharing my artistic journey with you!
